Sandeman Shines at 'Best of Wine Tourism' 2019
PlacesSandeman has received international recognition: winning two accolades at the 2019 'Best of Wine Tourism' awards. Sandeman's Cellars, remodelled in 2018, picked up an award in the Art and Culture category, while The House of Sandeman Hostel & Suites was recognised in the Accommodation section, also winning the 'Global Best of Wine Tourism 2019' award.
Sandeman, the most internationally-recognised Porto Wine brand, is delighted that these two enotourism projects picked up prizes at the 'Best of Wine Tourism 2019' event. The initiative is promoted by Great Wine Capitals – part of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network – which aims to evaluate promoters of enotourism in each member city, in terms of the quality of their infrastructure.
Sandeman's Cellars were considered the best project in the Art and Culture category, after the brand took on the challenge of refreshing its tourist-focused products, with the aim of providing a unique Sandeman experience. The House of Sandeman Hostel & Suites was recognised as best in class in the Accommodation category - one of six evaluated by a national jury – and also picked up the prize of 'Global Winner', an honour bestowed by an international jury selecting the best from across all the regional winners.
The international 'Best of Wine Tourism' awards highlight the best achievements undertaken every year in the arena of enotourism.
