Sandeman was the most awarded Porto brand in IWSC 2014

The House of Sandeman is pleased to announce that Sandeman was the most awarded brand at this year’s edition of the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Competition, having achieved a total of 9 distinctions in the British event.

The focus goes to Sandeman 40 Years Old Tawny and Sandeman Classic Vintage 2011 which were granted Gold Outstanding medals by the panel of specialists, which is comprised by over 300 members. Sandeman Vau Vintage 1999, has also achieved an imposing Gold medal which proves its well-known ageing properties.

Sandeman’s long established heritage in blending and shipping Aged Tawnies was also recognized in this event, with all Sandeman’s Aged Tawnies being awarded. Sandeman 10 Years Old Tawny and Sandeman 20 Years Old Tawny were granted with Silver Outstanding medals and Sandeman 30 Years Old Tawny received a Silver medal proving once again Sandeman’s expertise in Aged Tawnies and reinforcing its leadership in this category.
